Stoneleigh Abbey is an independent charitable trust run by a small team of staff and volunteers. All money raised is for the upkeep and preservation of the Abbey.

GENERAL HISTORY TOURS

Covering the broad history of Stoneleigh Abbey from its beginnings as a Monastic House in 1154 to Modern Day.

tours are run at midday, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm

Tours will be ran with limited spaces on each tour so it is recommended to book your tour before arrival to avoid disappointment.

Social distancing on all tours will be adhered too, and our guides will be wearing face screens.

The use of Selfie Sticks inside the house is prohibited.

COVID GUIDELINES
All visitors are required to wear face coverings when in the ticket office/shop while taking guided tours of the house, and when not seated in the Tearooms/Orangery
Maximum group size 6 people.
Hand sanitiser must be used on entry, and social distancing is to be followed while onsite.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

 

We welcome disabled visitors to Stoneleigh Abbey.  A disabled parking bay is available a short distance from the Ticket Office.  Wheelchair users should be aware that the paths at the Abbey are gravel, and that they are permitted to travel over the grassy verges as necessary.  A strong pusher is recommended. A flat route is available to the House and to the Orangery Tea Room.  The distance from the Ticket Office to the Orangery is about 200 yards.  

 

A lift is available to all floors of the house that are open for public viewing,  There is a good colour contrast between the floor and walls for those with visual impairment.  Service dogs are welcome, provided that they are wearing the appropriate coat, lead, or harness.  No other dogs are permitted in the house or grounds.

 

FACILITIES

There are disabled toilets and baby change facilities available in the West Wing. The Orangery and visitor toilets at the entrance next to the ticket office both have disabled toilets.

The house is open by guided tour only.

Refreshments are available from our Tearooms,

unfortunately we do not allow Picnics in the grounds.
